I am glad to announce that the new album'Inside
Life' is available to you all since today. I have to admit
that, as a musician, I feel something special every release day of
a work. Maybe it's for the amount of time spent on the project, and
naturally, for certain expectation on the feedback.
Although for me as a creator the cycle ends when I finish my work,
and I wouldn't change anything, I feel that the real cycle is finally
closed when my music reaches your ears ... thanks for listening.
"Inside Life immerses the listener into magnificently expressive
modern classical realms, tranquilly minimal, yet exquisitely nuanced,
abundantly poignant and delicately filigree, where stirringly pensive
sadness is masterfully counterpointed with hauntingly embracing stillness,
while intensely evocative ambient subtleties are deliberately permeated
by yearning haze. A truly fabulous bravura performance by Bruno Sanfilippo
and his guests!" R. Gürtler

work. I've enjoyed every step of the process, both times in the studio
next to the piano, and the choosing of names for each piece, or the
artwork design, I think everything is finally in its place, or at
least I've left it there...
For one reason or another, it's been a while since my last release,
and that's why I thank all those who asked for new recordings, the
first since I've moved to the mountains. There is no process practically
in the sound of piano and strings, we have oriented good microphones

A reflection of my soul has been crystallized.

I am writing
you from my studio, a place where time dissolves, where any sound
is born from silence. I have had a very creative 2013. After my concerts
in Prague, Bratislava and London, I mainly focused in studio works,
some of them were my own, and some other collaborations and for third
composed an extensive work for a String Quartet, which it is
only on paper so far.
During the summer time I visited the Stefano Musso's (Alio Die)
recording studio in Tuscany, Italy. In there we finished rounding
up the concepts of our future collaboration, which started at the
end of 2012 when I received him at my home studio here, near Barcelona.
We will release this work soon, along with a short film made in my
recording studio. Photo below.
I have contributed in a CD compilation [released through the Canadian
Label Les Enregistrements Variables] with a piece for piano solo called
"The movement of the grass II". Also participated Library
Danny Norbury, Ex Confusion, Évo Lüthi,
Fjordne among others.
I have been working with Marsen
Jules at my studio this past November [8 to15th 2013] We've really
enjoyed the experience. We hope you will feel the same way listening
the result of this memorable collaboration.

This has been a great year for me, with many album releases: Urbs,
Texture found, Piano Textures 3 y Piano
In the meantime, I remain making new music, from electronic sources,
field recordings or simply on piano. The truth is that I don't have
any preferences on this matter.
The next album will be called ClarOscuro. It will be mainly
on solo piano works, plus some pieces with violoncello and violin.
I will give further information about it on the next edition of this

Piano Texture Foundalbum EP OUT ON LAVERNA NET LABEL JULY 15 - IN
FREE DOWNLOAD! Contains three recent recordings performed in my studio.
On this EP first track, the piano shares a radio interference and
overtones electronically generated, which last until the end of the
piece. The second recording of almost twelve minutes is an improvisation
estructured on a key that it could sound familiar, since it was used
on recordings that belong to other different albums. Even so, this
version, "Solitario", evidently is more calm and spaced
than the other ones. "Aquarelle sur bois" is a recording
with no processing whatsoever. The track was taken out of a video
clip filmed by Georgie Uris.

Finally available digitally Bruno Sanfilippo's first EP
"I've been recording several piano improvisations over the last
few months. Mastered by Taylor Deupree at 12k.
One of those sessions was filmed by Franco Fantini. See below.
"The title Urbs derives from the prominent incorporation urban
sound environments, recorded by Sanfilippo in urban environments such
as train stations, streets, bars and other public areas to explore
the boundaries between the textural sounds which surround all of us
day to day, and the nature of composed sound art such as music. These
"real world" sound textures merge with more traditional
electronics such as synthesizers and samplers, leaving no doubt as
to the composed and "intentional" nature of these soundscapes.
Gentle and evocative, subtly textural and transporting, Urbs is something
we genuinely expect to become a long-term favorite among Hypnos releases."

"This soundscape superbly captures the sonic breath and flow
of a pastoral environment, not just because of the field recordings
used to enhance the music, but more directly accountable to the musicians'
attention to evoking the disposition of nature in its purest form.
Each synthetic tonality rings with a holistic demeanor, a softness

"My appreciation for Bruno
Sanfilippo's music has grown over his past few releases. First he
caught my ear with the spacey constructs of Auralspace; then he deftly
blended beautiful piano melodies with understated electronics on Piano
Textures 2. Now, teaming up with renowned ambient artist Matthias
Grassow, he brings the feel of those two discs together perfectlyand
elevates itin CROMO.
In these six untitled tracks, Sanfilippo and Grassow maneuver deftly
around each other in a set of perfect dances. The balance is superb,
with neither element overpowering the other.
There is rise and fall, movement and stillness.
Empty spaces are gracefully filled by sounds that flow into the moment
at the right moment.
As always, Sanfilippo's piano playing is patient, notes hanging and
hovering, quietly describing the emotional stories here. Grassow's
drones work their way from dust-in-sunlight glimmers to dark-spin
